Privacy Policy

The short version

There's no account. Your habits and logs never leave your device or your private iCloud. We only receive anonymous usage metrics, which you can turn off. We don't sell or share data with anyone, and there are no ads.

Your habits and logs

They're stored on your device and, if iCloud is on, in the private iCloud database (CloudKit) tied to your Apple ID. Apple manages that information under its own privacy policy; we have no access to it.

Widgets, reminders and the Apple Watch app read that same data on your devices.

The weekly, monthly and yearly summary is computed on your device. On devices with Apple Intelligence, the summary's message is written by Apple's model on the device: your habits never leave it.

Anonymous usage metrics

To understand how Persi is used and make it better, the app sends anonymous events to PostHog, hosted in the United States. For example: that onboarding was completed, that a habit was created (with details like its frequency, never its name), or that something was logged from a widget. We also send anonymous trial and purchase events (for example, that a trial started or Persi was bought) and technical details PostHog adds, like device model, iOS version and language.

We never send habit names, logs or anything that identifies you. We don't build person profiles or use advertising identifiers. You can turn metrics off any time in Settings › Data › “Share anonymous usage”.

Purchases

The free trial and the purchase go through the App Store. Apple processes the payment: we never see your card or billing details. The app verifies the purchase on your device. We only receive, as an anonymous metric, that a trial started or a purchase was made, never who made it.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications: they're scheduled on each device and never go through a server.

Exporting and deleting your data

You can export your habits as JSON or CSV from Settings whenever you want. To delete them, remove them in the app or delete Persi's data from iOS Settings › your name › iCloud. Since we don't store your habits, there's nothing of yours to delete on our side, and anonymous metrics can't be linked to you.

This website

persihabits.app uses no tracking cookies. To know how many people visit it, we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits in an aggregated, anonymous way: no cookies and no tracking across sites. Your browser only stores the theme and language you picked. The site is hosted on Vercel, which may log technical data (like your IP address) to run and protect the service.

Children

Persi is not directed at children under 13. Neither the app nor the site collects personal data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app.
